Canada Child Benefit (CCB) 2025: Payment Dates & Application Guide

The Canada Child Benefit (CCB) is a tax-free monthly payment provided by the Government of Canada to help eligible families with the cost of raising children under 18 years of age. It is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and is designed to provide more support to families with lower incomes.

In 2025, the CCB continues to be a cornerstone of family financial support in Canada, offering additional supplements for children with disabilities and adjustments based on inflation.

You may qualify for the CCB if you meet all of the following criteria:

  • You live with a child under 18 years of age
  • You are primarily responsible for the child’s care and upbringing

  • You (or your spouse/common-law partner) are:
    • A Canadian citizen
    • A permanent resident
    • A protected person
